New research on “Spot Reduction”

Spot reduction is the idea that if you work out a certain part of your body then that is where the fat is going to melt away.

Bad News: Spot reduction is as real as the Tooth Fairy. It sounds like a good idea, but the idea of a hottie flying around our kid’s rooms stealing teeth from under pillows and leaving money just isn’t true. Oh yeah, spot reduction… still not true.

Contrary to what informercials want you to believe there is no such thing as spot reduction. You burn fat in a pattern dependent on your health, age, genetics, gender, and hormones.

Stop wasting your money on ideas that make weight loss seem easy. It is not easy. There is no magic pill. There are only pills that mask your addiction to food.

You want to be healthy? Earn the right. You want to be thin? Burn the fat.

Hard work is a price many can afford be few will pay.
