"Decide. From this point, your strategy is to make everyone else get down on your level; you’re not going down to theirs. You’re not competing with anyone else, ever again. They’re going to have to compete with you. From now on, the end is all that matters."
That was a quote from a book called Relentless, written by the Tim S. Grover, former trainer to NBA legend Michael Jordan.
Is it as easy as that? You simply ‘decide” to be the ultimate competitor? Yes. It is as simple as that. You can decide, right now, that you will be a relentless athlete, that you will perform at the highest level at all times, regardless of the level of your competition. Yes, you have to put in the work, but the work doesn’t get done until the athlete decides the work is worth the effort.
Do you want to win? Do you want to be the one your competitors see on their schedule and circle, knowing that on that day, you will give them the hardest battle of the season?
Yes, the decision is easy, and the follow through is worth it. Decide.
